Kosovo United States Alumni

Kosovo United States Alumni (KUSA) was established in 2007 with the help of the U.S. Embassy in Pristina (then the U.S. Office), and the founding board, a dedicated group of U.S. Government-funded program alumni.  KUSA is a not-for-profit association.  Its membership is a diverse, non –partisan, independent group of bright and creative individuals that are compassionate, action-oriented and exhibit uncompromising integrity.

KUSA operates as a democracy that values diversity of opinion and background, fosters open discussion and debate, and supports all alumni equally.  The founding board set up KUSA’s infrastructure: its name, its registration as an NGO, its bylaws, mission, strategic (3-year) and 2008 annual plans.

The KUSA Center at AUK and the monthly KUSA e-Newsletter debuted in 2007.  At the first KUSA General Assembly in December 2007, over 150 members elected the first operational board.

The board consists of the:

President:Mimoza Kusari – Lila
Vice President: Valon Berani
Secretary: Kujtim Kerveshi
Communications Director: Valon Kurhasani
Domain Officer:Vacant
Treasurer: Burbuqe Deva–Bakija
Community Officer:Avdyl Lipoveci
and two members at large: Ali Kllokoqi
 Burim Leci
