The U.S. Office in Pristina wishes to condemn in the strongest terms the destruction of property and the illegal occupation of an UNMIK facility in northern Kosovo in direct contravention of UNSCR 1244.  There is no excuse for the use of violence, which is a direct challenge to the UN's authority.  We strongly support the SRSG’s announcement that UNMIK will act to restore law and order and to ensure that the Court House is again under UN control.
