US Embassy Press Statement About Alleged Das Dicarlo Remarks

We regret that KTV and Koha Ditore have chosen to publish stories alleging that DAS DiCarlo criticized the Kosovo government for failing to encourage international recognitions for Kosovo, and we particularly regret that no one from either media outlet chose to corroborate this story with the Embassy before broadcasting or publishing it.  DAS DiCarlo made no such comments.  The U.S. government is very supportive of Kosovo government efforts to encourage international recognitions, and we and other countries are acting as well to encourage further recognitions.
