Warden Message, October 1, 2008

For the first time ever, the US Embassy in Pristina is authorized to allow all American citizen absentee voters to mail their absentee ballots through the Embassy’s Diplomatic Post Office.   This service is free.

To do so, American citizens are invited to come to the U.S. Embassy gate on the corner of Goethe Street and Nazim Hikmet during working hours (8 am – 5 pm) with identification.

When you arrive at the Embassy, please tell the guards that you are dropping off an absentee ballot.  You will need to undergo the normal security screening and will then be escorted to the Consular Section.

A Consular employee will accept your absentee ballot.  If you haven’t registered with the Consulate, don’t forget to take this opportunity to do so.

The US Postal Service is recommending that customers located overseas mail their absentee ballots two weeks prior to the deadline of 04 November 2008. If you have any questions, please contact the U.S. Embassy Consular Section at (038)-5959-3119.
